ITINERARY FOR NORTHERN CIRCUIT ROUTE 9 DAYS CLIMB:
The Northern Circuit route is the most amazing and new route on Kilimanjaro. This route has become one of the first routes to enjoy the Northern Circuit’s tranquility and stunning panoramic scenery. It starts from the west and travels north around Mt. Kilimanjaro. It passes nearly through the entire mountain before the summit push. This is the most scenic path available. Chemical toilets are a necessity on this route as there are no toilet facilities at the Pofu / buffalo camp.
This route starts from Londorossi Gate 1800mts – Lemosho Starting Point 2244 mts – Mti Mkubwa 2750 mts – Shira 1 camp 3500 mts – Shira 2 camp 3875 mts – Lava Tower 4642 mts – Moir Hut 4200 mts – Buffalo camp 4020 mts – 3RD Cave camp 3870 mts – Kibo Huts 4750 mts – Gilmans Point 5681 mts – Uhuru Peak 5896 mts – Barafu 4600 mts – Mweka camp 3090 mts – Mweka gate 1641 mts.
Accommodation: 4 Season Mountaineering Tents.
Ascent: LEMOSHO ROUTE.
Descent: MWEKA ROUTE.
Duration: 9 days. (Longer days allow for better acclimatization and increase the chances to summit).
Success Rate: 95 – 98%+.
